Frequently Asked Questions
How did you make Fireflies?
We started with something called a paper prototype which is basically a rough sketch of the application. We researched the flight behavior of real fireflies to get a feel for how they move. Next, we worked on a physics simulator for the flight dynamics -- we actually simulate the thrust generated by the firefly's wings. We saved the artwork for last. This is the part I enjoyed the most. Most of the artwork was done with a Wacom Bamboo tablet using Photoshop CS4. I spent a good amount of time learning different drawing techniques -- painting the jar was my favorite.

Are there any hidden surprises?
Yes. Try shaking iPhone/iPod when the jar is empty. I call it the "hippy trippy" zone.
